As I prepared for an exhibit in 2011 entitled "Americana", I was researching the American Flag.  Words began coming to me and I captured those as part of my design process.  Soon, I was writing a poem which is not something I do.  I then knew what form my own interpretation of our flag would take.  (Click image to enlarge.)
In July of 2012, Glory! was juried into the "Pride and Patriotism: American Expressions" exhibit at the Charlotte Fine Art Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina.  It won 2nd prize!
In August of 2013, Glory! went to live permanently at the Boys and Girls Club of the Union League in Chicago.
